Temporary Shelter in Central Market will Be Built Next Week

Kramat Jati Central Market Management, East Jakarta, will immediately build temporary shelter (TPS) for fire victims which are merchants in Block C1. According to plan, TPS will be built in next week and located in the north side of their stalls.

This thing has been agreed by management and merchants after being discussed at management office's multipurpose room, Monday (6/12) afternoon.

Kramat Jati Central Market Manager, Nurman Adhi Permana said, it is also agreed by merchants.

Temporary Shelter at Kramat Jati Still Being Coordinated With Peddlers

"The agreement is to build TPS in the north side of Block C1. Maybe TPS will be built next week or 10 days ahead. We will prepare the material," he explained.

According to him, every merchants will occupy 2x2 meters temporary kiosk. Actually, 90 kiosks were burnt, but merchants number is just 43 people. There are several merchants that have more than one kiosk each.

Later on, merchants will occupy the shelter for 1.5-2 months while waiting to repair their burnt kiosks.
